Bangalore University (BU) is a State University located in the Silicon Valley of India – Bangalore, Karnataka, and was established in the year 1964. The university has been ranked 68th in the top Indian Universities 2020 by the NIRF with a score of 43.33 out of 100. Bangalore University offers various UG, Integrated, PG, Diploma, PG Diploma, Certificate, and Ph.D. courses. The popular courses offered at the university include B.Ed, M.Sc, Ph.D., MA, B.E, M.Arch, and LLM. Admissions to most of the courses are done on the basis of merit while for certain courses the score of exams like GATE, KCET, UGC NET/ CSIR NET will be required.

The University of Bangalore has advised colleges in its jurisdiction to begin class on September 1 for students with final and postgraduate degrees. Sixth semester of graduation from 12th semester VV has set a date for conducting the 4th-semester exams for the master’s degree from 23rd.
The university said that it had taken steps to allow students to answer questions, confusion, problems and repeat the lessons before the exam. But these offline classes are not mandatory. It does not take into account attendance. During this period, instructors conduct subject classes in colleges before exams.
Students attending class should wear a mask and keep distance from each other, says Bangalore VV Chancellor Prof. Cellphone Showroom Venugopal said.Rooms should be sanitized before class begins.
He said that the principals of the respective colleges should be informed that necessary steps should be taken by the principals of the respective colleges.
Nearly two lakh students from 700 colleges in Bangalore, rural, rural, Ramanagar, Kolar and Chikkaballapur districts will sit the examination. Venugopal said students will be tested for the final semester of class and exams coming to the hostel.
Online classes will begin for September 1st, 3rd and 5th semester students. “They will start offline classes in October,” Venugopal said.
