After government officials, including IPS officers, became victims of fake accounts on Facebook, primary and secondary education minister S Suresh Kumar approached the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) alleging there’s a fake account in his name.
On Friday, PM Chidambaram, the personal secretary of Suresh Kumar, filed a complaint with CID about the fake account. It was also found that many of the minister’s Facebook friends received messages seeking financial help.
Suresh Kumar, who is active on Facebook, cautioned users to beware of the fake account. He said he has also reported the matter to Facebook.
