“How can they conduct exams on a Sunday when we teachers get a day’s weekly off?” said a faculty member of an affiliated college of Bangalore University in the city.

Another faculty member said,  “We don’t mind working on a Sunday, but they don’t offer a compensatory off on another day.”

The date sheet has been released for various courses in Bangalore University including PG Arts, Commerce, Education, Science courses along with MCA, B.Sc, B.Ed, B.E/ B.Tech, and B.Arch programs.

The varsity has asked all the affiliated colleges identified as exam centers to be ready with as many PPE kits, face shields, sanitizers, and hand wash which would provide safety precautions during the conduct of exams.

The University has also decided to conduct special exams for those missing the regular exams scheduled in September. With this decision, the international students pursuing various courses who had gone home due to the pandemic and are unable to return to take the final exams can appear for special exams.
